Inputs are practical, not decorative
Useful inputs can include Wi-Fi quality, outlet availability, noise, light, seating, and time-of-day patterns. The score is intended to answer whether the place fits the work, not whether the photo is attractive.
Only available signals can contribute. A cafe with sparse information should not be presented with false precision.
The same cafe can score differently by need
A quiet writing session and a video call need different conditions. Time also matters: lunch-hour noise and a calm morning are not the same environment.
The scorecard is therefore most useful when read with its explanation, not as an isolated number.
Read the parts before the total
Before acting on a headline score, inspect the individual conditions that matter to you. A strong overall result can still contain a weak or unknown signal that is essential for a call, charging, accessibility, or a long stay.
The explanation also helps distinguish measured-looking detail from broad place information. More decimal places or a polished visual should never be mistaken for stronger evidence.
Unknown, estimated, and observed are different
An unknown outlet signal does not mean there are no outlets. An estimate does not carry the same confidence as a recent, contextual observation, and one visit should not become a permanent claim about a cafe.
A responsible scorecard keeps these states visible. When the interface cannot support a firm conclusion, the right output is uncertainty plus a useful next check.
Use the score as a shortlist tool
Compare a small set of plausible cafes, remove any that fail a non-negotiable requirement, and then choose between the remaining options using distance, timing, cafe policy, and your tolerance for uncertainty.
After arrival, reassess the conditions. If the environment has changed, switching tables, changing the task, or using a backup cafe can be a better decision than forcing the original plan.
Independence and limitations
Sponsored placement does not change the independent score described by FinCaffe. Clearly identified commercial features may exist elsewhere, but they should not be hidden inside the score.
Conditions can change after the score is shown. Confirm anything essential with the cafe.
