FinCaffe uses personal data to run the account, cafe discovery and Buddy features you choose. This notice explains what is processed, why it is needed, who may receive it, and how you can exercise your rights.

Who is responsible and what this covers

FinCaffe is operated by Ömür Turgut, publishing under the developer name Omiron. For the personal data described in this notice, the FinCaffe operator acts as data controller.

This notice covers the FinCaffe mobile application, its account and support channels, cafe discovery features, and the optional Buddy matching, planning and chat experience. It does not replace the privacy terms of an app store or another service you deliberately open from FinCaffe.

The data categories that follow your choices

The exact data used depends on whether you only browse cafes, create an account, enable location, build a Buddy profile, start a chat, contact support, view an optional ad, or make a purchase.

Account and profile

Email, display name, sign-in method, language, account status, and profile details or photos you choose to add.

Cafe discovery

Selected area or permitted location, filters, swipes, favorites, collections, visited markers, private notes, journal entries and cafe preferences.

Buddy and community

Age confirmation, work and meetup preferences, availability, likes, matches, messages, cafe plans, ratings, blocks, reports and safety actions.

Device and service state

App version, platform, session and notification state, device installation context, permissions chosen, and limited technical diagnostics.

Support and safety

Support requests, feedback, reported content, abuse-prevention signals and the information reasonably needed to investigate a problem.

Purchases and optional ads

Entitlement and purchase-verification status, quota or restore state, and ad interaction or device data processed when an optional rewarded ad is requested.

How data is collected

Data is collected directly from information and content you provide; from permissions you choose to grant on the device; automatically from your use of app features and limited device or service events; from purchase-status confirmations supplied by the app store; and, where safety requires it, from reports submitted by another user. FinCaffe does not ask you to provide data that is unrelated to the feature or request.

Sensitive content: Message and report content may reveal information you choose to share. Do not post information you do not want another matched user to see. FinCaffe does not offer your profile or private messages for sale.

Why data is used and the legal grounds

Personal data is processed only where it is relevant to a defined purpose:

  • create and secure your account, remember settings and provide requested features;
  • find cafes, produce context-based scores and recommendations, and save your own cafe history;
  • operate Buddy discovery, matching, messaging, cafe planning, reporting and blocking;
  • deliver notifications you enable and verify paid or rewarded feature access;
  • answer support requests, prevent spam or abuse, enforce community rules and protect users;
  • diagnose failures, measure feature reliability and improve the service.

Depending on the purpose and applicable law, processing may be based on your explicit consent, the steps needed to provide a service you request or perform the user agreement, compliance with a legal obligation, the establishment or protection of a right, or a legitimate interest that does not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Recommendations and automated assistance

FinCaffe may use automated signals to rank cafes, estimate fit, explain a score, or suggest Buddy compatibility. These outputs support your choice; they do not make a legal or similarly significant decision about you. Information submitted to an optional assistance feature may be processed to produce the requested response.

Permissions and advertising choices

Location, camera, photo and notification access is requested only for the related feature and can be changed in device settings. FinCaffe may offer optional rewarded ads. Advertising providers may process device and ad-interaction data under their own terms and any choices required by applicable law or platform rules.

Who may receive data

FinCaffe shares personal data only as needed with categories of service providers that support account access, secure hosting and storage, maps and place information, message or notification delivery, payments, optional advertising, customer support, safety, diagnostics, and optional automated assistance.

Another user receives only what the relevant social feature is designed to show, such as the Buddy profile details you publish to candidates or matches, messages you send, and a cafe plan you share. Reports are handled as safety records and are not presented as public profile content.

Data may also be disclosed when required by law, to respond to a valid request from a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims and protect people from harm.

International processing

Some service-provider infrastructure may be located outside Türkiye or your country of residence. Where a cross-border transfer occurs, FinCaffe uses an applicable transfer mechanism or other safeguards required by data-protection law and limits the transfer to the relevant purpose.

How long data stays and what deletion means

Account-linked data is generally kept while your account is active and for as long as needed for the feature you use. Temporary device data may remain locally until you clear it, sign out, uninstall the app, or it expires through normal cache management.

When you delete your account, FinCaffe removes or anonymises the account and linked profile, cafe activity, Buddy connections, messages, plans, safety state, notification state and related service records. The deletion is only reported as complete when the service can confirm the account-side operation. See the Account Deletion page for the exact steps.

Limited records may be retained only where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, payment disputes, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Access is restricted and those records are not used to recreate a deleted profile. App stores may keep their own transaction records under their legal obligations and policies.

Your rights and practical controls

Subject to Article 11 of Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law and any other law that applies to you, you may ask whether your personal data is processed; request information about processing, purposes and recipients; request correction; request deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met; ask that correction or deletion be notified to recipients; object to an adverse result produced solely through automated analysis; and request compensation where unlawful processing causes damage.

You can also update profile details, manage notification choices, change device permissions, request a copy of your data, clear temporary cache, sign out, or begin account deletion from the app's Data Privacy Center. Withdrawing an optional permission does not affect earlier lawful processing, but the related feature may stop working.

To make a request, email omur@posthumane.com from the address linked to your account where possible. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request concerns you.

Security, community safety and age

FinCaffe uses proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data, including controlled access, secure transmission, minimised service permissions, monitoring and incident handling. No online service can promise absolute security, so please use a strong sign-in method and report suspicious activity promptly.

Buddy, chat and in-person meetup features are for adults aged 18 or older. The app asks for age confirmation and acceptance of community rules before those features can be used. If an underage Buddy account is identified, access and associated processing may be restricted or terminated.

Questions, complaints and changes

For privacy questions, data-rights requests or account deletion support, contact omur@posthumane.com. You may also have the right to apply to the competent data-protection authority after using the applicable controller-request process.

This notice may be updated when the service, legal requirements or privacy practices change. Material changes will be surfaced through an appropriate channel, and the revision date at the top of this page will be updated.
