Use the in-app plan to agree on a cafe, time, and session type. Avoid sending passwords, payment information, identity documents, a home address, or unnecessary live-location detail.
Tell a trusted person where you are going and when you expect to finish.
Check the plan, not only the profile
Confirm the exact public venue and normal opening hours through a source you trust. Decide how you will travel, where you will sit, how long the first session will last, and what you will do if the cafe is closed or unsuitable.
A complete-looking profile is not proof of identity. Do not let familiarity from messaging replace ordinary first-meeting precautions.
Keep the first meeting simple
Arrive and leave independently. Keep the first session time-bounded and in a public part of the cafe. Protect your drink, device, and belongings.
You can leave at any time. Politeness does not require staying in an uncomfortable situation.
Recognize pressure early
Warning signs include urgent money requests, demands for identity documents, attempts to move immediately to a private place, repeated sexual or romantic pressure, threats, and stories that change when you ask simple questions.
You do not need to investigate or prove misconduct before protecting yourself. End contact, preserve relevant messages if safe, and use the reporting path appropriate to the situation.
Use the platform controls
Stop communication when someone ignores a boundary, pressures you to move off-platform, asks for money, or behaves deceptively. Use block and report controls where appropriate.
For immediate danger, leave and contact local emergency services. An in-app report is not an emergency channel.
After the meetup
If the meeting was respectful, decide independently whether another session fits your needs. Do not share additional personal information simply because the first meetup went well.
If something felt wrong, write down the practical details while they are fresh. A clear report should focus on observable behavior, relevant messages, time, and place rather than speculation.
